My off Facebook diary
Day 2 of my Faxebook Diaries
Day Two, Wednesday.
I'm up at five AM. I made a cup of my Cuppa Coffee along with a cinnamon and raisin English muffin. I want to take a peek, but I am more resolute this morning than ever; there is no longer that burning desire, no need to get on FB to see what's happening, but I fully understand that the news feed will be loaded with angry posts by what I now call the “bubble people”. These are people who live in their enclosed world with their Cognitive Dissonance beliefs and “friends”, note; they are not really your friends, well, at least most of them. They vomit what others say and have been convinced that everything others say in their bubble is true. Well, I have to run, check my email, I'm sure there are at least ninety-nine emails waiting for me, ninety-two of which will be deleted without opening them. Then, into the shower and off to New Paltz, to work a sporting clays event. I feel so much lighter, so far so good... Oh, by the way, I got a lot more accomplished yesterday, not being on FB.
I just got back from work, I would be lying if I didn't acknowledge that there were times when I didn't have a squad at mt station when I saw notifications, I wasn't tempted to take a peek, but I was a good boy sticking to the promise I made to myself to stay off. At least one more day, but I would love to do so too.
I am having such a ball writing this diary; it has kept the monkey off my back.
